Delta Dreams is a form of emotional communication. The combination of rhythmic patterns, melodic progressions, and lyric content communicate and express feelings that we share through common experience. A pop song is a three-minute fix of an emotional drug. We are connected through our humanity and most successful songs speak to this. It is our shared human failings and aspirations that connect us. Whether it’s telling a story, expressing a feeling or idea, it’s the honesty with which we communicate our inner most self that allows others to share in the moment.
